Having taught English Language Arts for nineteen years and having served as an instructional coach for the last three years at East Hall High School, Coach Hardison will begin his second year as an assistant coach with the East Hall Varsity fastpitch softball program in August of 2020. Before the last two seasons, Mr. Hardison was an assistant baseball coach for nine years, a head baseball coach for three years, a head tennis coach for three years, and a middle school softball coach for three seasons. Coach Hardison played baseball for Coach William Booth and the three-time 5A state champions at Hartselle High School from 1989-1992, for Alabama Hall of Fame Coach Joe Jordan at Southern Union Junior College from 1993-1994, and for the NAIA and Coach Steve Harwood at Piedmont College from 1995-1996. His family includes: his wife, Sandy, who played softball at Franklin County and Piedmont College; his son, Tucker, an upcoming German and Linguistics major at UGA; his daughter, Calli, an upcoming Junior, fastpitch pitcher, and outfielder at East Hall High School. One of Coach Hardison’s best professional memories is witnessing the East Hall Lady Vikings, under the leadership of his good friend and colleague, Coach Anuel Burce, make it to their first-ever Elite Eight Tournament in Columbus last season.
